The Chamaerops Humilis “Vulcano” palm tree is a compact variety of European Fan Palm with thornless petioles. The Leaves are thicker and the leaflets are not as divided as the regular plant, and are not as blue as the Chamaerops Humilis Cerifera. The “Vulcano” is hard to find in America but pretty common in Europe. Cold hardy and a perfect container plant. It is the most wind tolerant fan palm you can find, it does not carry transplant shocks and is a very low maintenance sort of palm.
