Olive trees are slow growers. If you want to buy a large olive tree, you automatically end up with an old tree.

By the way, do not expect a Sequoia in the garden. Large species - such as Leccino and Frantoio - can reach a height of ten metres. So that's not too bad. Most olive trees reach a maximum height of no more than five metres.

Incidentally, olive trees can grow very wide. The trunk of the oldest olive tree in the world - Azores olive tree in Greece - has a diameter of 7.1 metres. Fascinating!
